Today was tough eating wise. I stopped by the store to get some fruit and I was growing very hungry and on any other day I would go to McDonalds. Today the temptation was strong extremely strong. I was on the phone with Kisha and I was like hunny I'm hungry and I want to go to McDonald's. She said no don't go you don't need it. And as I started getting closer my stomach was grumbling and guess what I did....I drove by McDonald's and ate my Oatmeal, banana, and Super Protein Odwalla.

My job had a Luau today and all the food was at my end of the office. The food was tempting ooohhh very tempting. It smelled sooo good it was ridiculous. But I was strong. When I got my plate I loaded it up with fruits and vegetables. And when I felt that it filled me up a little I got a little piece of ham, 2 meatballs, and a couple of chips and salsa. I did have a dessert it was a thin cake almost looking like a tart and it had fruit on top...peach, pineapples, and cherries. The great feeling is I didn't get cheesecake and I LOVE cheesecake. Now I did go a bit overboard on the Chex Mix...I know bad but that was a better alternative then a bag of butter lover popcorn. I did reach my water intake for the day.

This evening Kisha and I walked a mile and a half in about 45 minutes. It was the fastest pace that I've ever walked. Then I came home and had some fish, green beans, and angel hair pasta which I did measure out. Well I'm about to go and watch a movie and I'll talk to you later.

    Congratulations. I know how strong temptation can be sometimes. Just keep up the positive self-talk and relying on your fitness partner. Today you were in control, not the food. You deserve high praise.

    Great job! Wow those sounded like some tempting possibilities, I must say, so the fact that you had a plan (start with veggies til nearly full and then go from there) was a great idea...and the sticking to it part was even better! Keep it up, and continued luck with your walking and eating.
