...I'm on a roll!

Today I went to lunch with a co-worker. We went to Applebee's and I ordered a Weight Watchers selection (although I'm totally estimating sodium because I couldn't find it). This is sort of a new thing for me. Usually if I eat out I just indulge. Period.

Then tonight I worked later than I planned, which meant no time plus no plan for dinner before my sister and I work out during The Biggest Loser. Bad news. I battled the temptation of just ordering pizza in, which we have done before on occasion. But then I realized that with my NuWave oven I can throw some frozen chicken breasts in and they would be done in like 20 minutes. My sister made some brown rice last night and there was some left over...and I had steamable broccoli to put in the microwave. So presto! Dinner was thrown together and I stayed within my ranges (except my fat was low and sodium on the high side).

Then my sister made chocolate chip cookies for work tomorrow and I ABSTAINED. Even I can't believe it! But I did not eat any. Phew.

Oh, and I adjusted my calorie burn estimate after reading Dana's post the other day. I notice I was still estimating 750 calories/week from when my HRM was reading low. Now I know I can blow through that in one Zumba class...so I upped it to 2500 a week. It will take a little adjusting to the new ranges, and it's scary to eat more, you know? But I know it's healthy, so that's what I need to do...just fill up on good calories, not empty ones.

And I forgot to mention that I started a colon cleanse this week too. I did it back in 2005 and I felt great, so I thought it was time again. Plus colon cancer runs in my family, so it's good to keep up on that stuff. So maybe that will help me a little in the weight loss department too...making my digestive system a little less sluggish. We shall see.

    Well, I'm sure there are a variety of cleanses out there, but this particular one is this powder (I think it's basically a lot of fiber type things) that you put in water and drink it in the morning. I'm also taking acidophilus because when you clean out your colon it tends to get rid of good and bad bacteria. There is also a tea that I've been drinking at night as part of the thing. So you have a few good poops during the day and a lot more energy. Ha ha!

    I'm SCARED of the colon cleanse... what does it consist of? Is it something you ingest? And wOOHOO on those good choices you made! :D That is great!!!!
