I did it! I just have one mile to go in the challenge. The challenge officially runs until June 21 but obviously I am going to pass 300 miles tomorrow, which means that I will have completed the challenge in 39 days instead of 100 days.
This was a fun challenge and it really did motivate me to get the health club and workout almost every day. The core of my workouts were my spinning classes, but I also did water aerobics, and other group classes, walked the indoor track and the outside trails, and used the cardio machines. This was strictly a cardio challenge at the gym, so strength training didn't count and workouts done at home didn't count.
I am going to keep moving forward with this challenge and get to 500 miles in the remaining time. I hope the health club comes up with some kind of strength training challenge because I really need to start concentrating more on strength training than I have been doing.
There are 61 days until the official start of summer so I am going to stick with the routine I developed during this challenge. My motivation is our upcoming trip to Williamsburg in June and our cruise in July! I hope to be able to buy a much smaller size when I start shopping for clothes for those trips!
