MY BIGGEST FITNESS ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Tuesday, April 21, 2009

In my case, my husband just recently joined my gym, in an effort to get his health together, and loose some weight in the process. Since he joined, he has gone full speed ahead and I'm right there with him. Before joining, he use to say to me, you've been at the gym all that time, (which was about 1 1/2 hour). He didn't understand that's not a whole lot of time to spend at the gym.

Now he's 6-7 days a week, we spend between 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hours exercising each day.

I'm doing the elipital for at least 30 minutes. Before I usually had a hard time doing just 10 minutes. I do two sessions on the treadmill. One on random and the other on manual. On manual I have my level up to 12. Before I had a hard time at 2. I rotate using the weight machines every three days. I also do water aerobics, and you know I can't leave without the using the saunas.

I look forward to going to the gym with my husband everyday. We spend quality time together, while getting our health and bodies together. It's a win/win situation.

I know some people say I'm doing too much exercising, but my body isn't hurting, I feel good while doing it, and I feel great after I'm through. We're both trying to get our teenage figure back. emoticon emoticon

curious are in Detroiot or Detroit area? was wondering what gym. I was born and raised in Detroit now live in Romulus and joined the Romulus Athletic Center but haveing a hard time getting my butt in the door and actually working out. I love the machines and while my husband joined to his idea of a work out is simply walking the track. But then that works for him, for me all i get from that is sore knee and back. Love the elliptical though that normaly is what i will do . Weight and health are crappy so cant do alot but try to do couple miles when i go in. usually a mile or so rest and then another. Trying to get myself inspired to get my butt in their and do what I know i need to do. Congrats again...your doing great

To tell you the truth, I love water aerobics the most. I love being in the water, it's sooo relaxing, I use the dumbells in the water with any problems, I use the noodles to swim with and also to stretch my legs with. I do all kinds of exercise in the water. It's also less stress on your joints. The saunas can be so relaxing. I take my MP3 and put on some nice music and go into a zone. Very relaxing. emoticon

Congrats on your fitness routine!!! It sounds awesome!! I have yet to try water aerobics or the sauna at my gym. From the sound of it, I may need to.
