It's a sunny, beautiful day; in the mid 60's, and not too much wind.
I got out for a half hour walk this afternoon, then did 40 minutes of raking leaves; raked for 20 minutes at time, taking a break in between. If it's nice through the whole weekend, I will probably be able to finish the yard.
My hip was hurting when I got up this morning; I had to take a pain pill around 11am. I think my body is getting use to them; they don't make me quite as sleepy any more, but I still wouldn't take one if I had to drive. I'm not feeling too bad now, from the raking. Having a little acid reflux pain though. When I was taking my break in the middle of my leaf raking, I had an apple. I probably should have waited to eat when I was finished, because after my break, I was bending over to pick up the leaves to put in the yard waste bag. Doing a lot of bending with food in your stomach is no-no if you have acid reflux.
While I was raking, I was noticing all the plants coming back up; tulips, some poppies, lambs ears, and a few perennials that right now I don't remember the names of. The grass is even starting to turn green. That's one of my favorite things about spring, seeing all that stuff come back to life again.
