There is really a cool tool available in Spark. Did you know that you can mark on a google earth map the route you want to walk and it will calculate your distance and calories burned? I did this yesterday and it also allowed me to calculate my route if I either walked or rode a bike. You can also save your route so you can always can go back to it.
You can find this tool under the Healthy Lifestyle tag, then click on fitness and then scroll down to fitness maps.
I think next to the nutrition tracker this is the most incredible tool. It gives you such a good visual of where you have walked and you can even add it to your fitness tracker. Whoever developed this is a genius. I'm sure you will find this a very useful tool if you are into walking outdoors. Have some fun with it.
I have done this! I have several routes mapped and you are right, they are cool. They calculate everything for you, and even allow you to cut through places where there is no road. I love this too! 2745 days ago
I'm going to try that. I already walk a certain route, but I do not know the distance and especially do not know the calories. I only know that it is 12 songs on my iPod long, and the spots where Chili (my dog) likes to stop and sniff. The calorie information is probably more useful! 2748 days ago
