I have been focusing on weight loss since I joined SP. I do the food tracker and plus write down every bit that goes into my mouth. I have been entering my cardio and strength training. Being a goal and task type of person, I am always looking for perfection, comparing myself to others. I go to the gym 5 days a week, taking a spin class, zumba class, weight training and what ever class for that morning. I also have been doing 45 minutes on the elliptical or treadmill (depending on how sore the legs are)
Today, a friend in the class said she had noticed how much I have lost. I looked at her with a puzzled face and said that I haven't lost much. She said oh, yes you have, you have firmed up. I thanked her with a nice big smile and said she made my day.
Now that I'm home and have logged in, I realized that I feel good and energized. I have more body strength and mobility than only a few months ago. I am also a happier person.
So I might not have lost the weight that I had planned for but I sure have gained something more. I know the weight will come off, but the positive attitude and feeling of self worth is more important to me right now.
