So last night... What did I do last night....

Last night I went to the dentist and I have ALOT of work to get done consisting of getting 6 teeth pulled and about 13 fillings. They started with fillings. Anyway, she told me it would be a better idea if I did not go to the gym last night. So I bought a book and went home to read. I get lost in books like some people or kids get lost in TV shows. Unfortunalty I experienced an episode of mindless eating! My Easter candy jar was on the end table and while I was reading I kept eating m&m's.... Before I knew it I probably ate the equvilent of a whole bag (the kind from a vending machine) I didnt even realize how much I was munching away. (And yes I know candy after the dentist isn't smart but what can I say LOL) I was very dissapointed in myself. But I can only learn from it and move on. I usually eat candy every day, and I am going to try hard this week to eat none until next week. I had enough yesterday to last me all week. Tonight I get back to the gym, but due to the rain I cannot take my afternoon walk.
You see we all give in to temptation at somepoint. Its learning from the experiance that is key to not doing it again.

It is the AFTER Easter sales of candy that hurt me. I was beyond good this year as I limited what I bought. One bag of jellybeans (not opened yet either) and 7 Cadbury creme eggs. No peeps, though I like them all were sold out. Sigh my chickees... have to wait for next year. I'm a sale chaser after a holiday, looking to see if anything is left good and very cheap like 75% off. Waiting until then limits what I buy due to little of value left! You might move the jar of M & M's to a far shelf when reading, and have water to drink, or flavored water. To me, it is sweet and a treat. I think you are doing great! Haven't been to the dentist in a while huh? Boy that is a lot of work. Been there and done that. My missing teeth say hi to your missing teeth. emoticon

Easter candy has been getting me also. I have a bowl of M&Ms and a bowl of jelly beans in my kitchen right now. As soon as I am finished with dinner I catch myself in those bowls constantly!

I HAD MY ALL TIME FAVORITE ON EASTER. REESES PEANUT BUTTER EGG. I HATE PB CUPS BUT I LOVE THE HOLIDAY SHAPED ONES I EAT THE CHOCOLATE OFF THE SIDES AND THEN OFF THE BOTTOM THEN I MAKE SURE THAT IS ALL GONE OUT OF MY MOUTH AND I THROW IN THE REMAINING CHOCOLATE AND THE PEANUT BUTTER.MMMMMMMMMMMM SO GOOD. KNOW WHAT I DID ON EASTER. I WORE ONE OF THOSE THINGS THAT HOLDS YOUR BELLY IN WHEN I WENT TO HIS MOMS HOUSE FOR LUNCH. I KNEW THAT WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO EAT BUNCHES AND BUNCHES. WOUND UP I DID GOOD ANYHOW. I HAD A TBS OF MASHED TATOS AND THATS IT NORMALLY I WOULD HAVE HAD ENOUGH TO FILL A CEREAL BOWL AND WENT BACK FOR MORE. I WAS STILL GLAD I WORE IT. HELPED MY MIND STAY RIGHT.

Well said, dear! We ALL slip up. Those who succeed are those who manage to brush themselves off and keep going. Looks like you've already run ahead ;0)

lol, I was like, add? Now I get it though! Its like you say, we all have bad moments. The way I see it is that eventually I will have to deal with these foods (when I am done losing weight) and I prefer to have the mentallity of 'moderation is okay now' then, 'oh I reached my goal, so I can eat whatever I want, whenever I want and how much I want muahahaha!' (that was previous post-diet mentallity and why I gained it all back, lol). So, don't see it as setback, just another day. If you don't see it as a big deal, it won't be.
