I'll forwarn you, I'm rather bitchy in this entry. So, here we go...
I hate when I talk about dieting or just eating healthy in general, and people automatically snap back with "Why? You're skinny." and "You don't need to watch what you eat." The phrase "you are what you eat" is SOOO true though. If you want to have a heart attack by the time you are 30, then keep eating pizza and burgers and fries every day. The fat and salt will definately kill ya! For the most part, I only eat food that has nutritional value that I know will benefit me. Granted I splurge and have ice cream or a candy once in a while, but it's a splurge.... the rest of my day is filled with lean meats, dairy, veggies, etc. It honestly makes me sick to my stomach to see what some people eat. For example, those new KFC Bowls astonish me! I know it's the "future dietitian" in me that makes me eat this way. But what gets me is when people comment about me eating healthy (often in a teasing, negative manner) and then I comment about how horrible they are eating... I'm the picky, anal one. Well, I'm also the one with healthy skin, hair, nails, and weight... not to mention what my insides probably look like compared to theirs.
OK, so I've ranted and raved. Sorry. But I just needed to get that out. Hopefully the American people will wake up sooner or later and realize how fat they are, and how horrible they eat... before it kills them!
(PS - Sorry for being bitchy)
