Last night was a binge night. Went by our bookeepers office after work and found out that not only will we not be getting a refund but that we are going to owe aroung $3000. So of course how did I handle it: I ate. Carmel popcorn a handful of junior mints, cashews, weight watchers ice cream. And then for dinner a bowl of pasta with parmesian cheese (lots). I knew I was emotional eating and I knew why and I just kept on. And then I get on the scale this morning and I haven't lost a pound, go figure. I have been eating right and going to the gym for a month and only lost 2 lbs. I have been weight training a lot and I know that muscle weighs more than fat but it is frustrating. But today is a new day and I have the opportunity to make better choices and I will. emoticon

I feel for you it so depressing with money woes. We owe the state 252 but we did get a refund from federal. But the refund went to pay for repairs to my daughter's car and to my son's car and to make up the difference from my husband's loss time at work. I really had other plans for the money but life happens. I am trying not to eat my feelings but it is so hard even when you realize you are doing it you can't seem to stop. I hope you are having better days since your tax news. The main thing is even if you have setbacks not to give up.

oh wow! I'm so sorry! Money is my breaking point too. If I look at the budget and it's shot, I am on a binge.

You can overcome this though, look at what you can control and focus on that. I know that sounds shallow and cliche, but in the end it might help

Hey, we will probably all feel your pain before next week. Just keep in mind that we can always get back on track. My trick to the weight thing is to weigh each day but in my mind I track once a week on Fridays. That way I don't get discouraged by the variation of the scale since it can change from 1 to 4 pounds every day. It depends on how much I actually eat or how much water weight gain I have. This is just a suggestion to try to help you keep from getting discouraged.
It works for me but it may not for anyone else.
Keep smiling and the world will smile with you. emoticon

I know exactly how u feel I tend to be an emotional eater.Ill know that Im gonna regret it but I just keep eating. Then of coarse afterwards what happens: I REGRET IT. But great job on knowing that today is a new day and you can make better choices. Have a healthy happy day. emoticon
