Return of the Grand...!

Tuesday, April 07, 2009

Yesterday was my first day back on the treadmill along with first strength training session...weathered it nicely, felt good to be getting back in the swing of things. So today I nailed a little over 1,000 cals. in 60 mins. on the 'mill...woo hoo!

Tomorrow I return to work...and it looks like things are going to be pretty stressful with the loss of two colleagues recently departed. I'll have to really hustle to get through these next few weeks until taking a week off to attend the conference in San Diego! That also means I'll have to curtail my heavier involvement with SparkPeople that I've enjoyed over the past two weeks...drat!

It also means I'm going to have to get serious about SLEEP and pushing myself into bed at a decent hour. I know I'm going to feel it mightily if I don't!

I'm looking forward to doing more biking...the weather on Easter Sunday is looking bikeable...lol, what better way to spend a holiday...? :-)

Glad to hear you are getting back in the game! Take it easy. It is wonderful that your son will be in the same complex, how serendipitous! I will be there too, I hope to see you there! Are you going to do the morning walk??? Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

I'm still so jealous that you're getting to go to San Diego. I really loved it out there when I went there for business in 1998. Yeah LONG time ago! LOL

I know that treadmill session made you feel great! I always feel great after a good cardio workout. Sorry to hear about your departed co-workers. It's always hard to take on more work, but as others have said, just having a job these days is such a blessing.

So we'll see you around SP as you have time to stop by & say Howdy. emoticon Take care of yourself - Peace & Blessings.

Don.... You are doing great. I know you must have been itching to get back to strength exercising after the surgery. I know I was.

I did 1hr today on the S bike. 2.05 miles. Felt good. Burned 410 calories.

I will be praying for you on your return to work being with what has happen there.

God Bless

Ida

With the economy, lots of people don't have jobs to go back to so I guess you have to think of it as a "blessing." emoticon
