Life after LapBand

Yesterday was 3 weeks out from surgery. Sweet Eric took me out to dinner last night. We headed up to Manitou and found that almost all the restaurant were closed on Mondays. I was sweaty and dirty from gardening and caring for a recently vacated rental but no matter, we strode into one of the nicest inns in the area (the Cliff House). I was concerned as to how this meal was going to play out but a fine restaurant was PERFECT now that I am such a cheap date. Eric let me order what I wanted (Salmon Oscar) and the I proceeded to just eat very small portions of all the wonderful things set before us. 1st was a tiny tiny steak tar-tar (an amuse bush - excuse the spelling) ; next an awesome salad with tiny bits of blue cheese and apple on on and on and then the salmon; we even ordered 1 glass of wine and the sweet waiter even brought that split in 2 separate glasses. It was so much easier eating great quality food in very small portions than going to a less ritzy place with food filled with lots of filler like pasta or rice. I felt my energy flow back into me. I am going riding on my very old and trust gelding as soon as it warms up a bit this morning. Perhaps I might get the confidence to get back on my fast Missouri Fox Trotter tomorrow as I live my life between the snow storms this early spring. Namaste my friends emoticon
