I have been working out for 25 years~ pretty much since my early 20's. At a certain point, it was so ingrained in my day that I couldn't imagine my life without it.
I think I became addicted to the endorphins. I really need them to keep my moods on an even keel.
I also found activities that aren't boring or monotonous that I look forward to doing. I don't think anyone can stick with a workout routine they detest. You have to find a positive aspect in it or there is no payoff for your mind or body.

  I think I am right there, Pam! I enjoy (now) feeling the strength in my body and how I feel after exercising, but I also need to keep the fun...or I turn into McCrabby-Pants!

I'm glad I read this this morning...makes me feel like I'm on the right track! :)
