1 pound a week

I don't know if it is because of menopause, or what but I can not lose 1 lb a week no matter what. I am doing around 7 hours a week on the elliptical and recumbent bike, and eating less than 1500 cal a day, but still no change...

    I have been tracking both weight and inches, and nothing has changes in a couple of weeks now. But since I started menopause I lose weight during my period and gain back same or more after.... it is so confusing.

  Some weeks are just better as far as weight loss goes - the real important thing is not to get discouraged and to keep on eating right and exercising! It will pay off in spades at the end (trust me on this). Your weight fluctuates as much as 2 pds a day depending on many factors, so the simple fact is that you quite possibly have lost - give it a few days and weigh yourself again. Also - are you tracking inches? Because there are many weeks I didn't lose weight - but still lost inches (and in the end, inches are way more important than the pds, it's the inches that will get you in those "skinny jeans!") It's all working, it just takes a lot of time and a ton of effort - but you end up with a healthier you and that's why this journey is so important!

    Heh TEAMROHL, I would like to know more on this subject as I am a young 45 in the throws of full menopause and in 2008 all of my weight gain went straight to my mid-section and it is very hard for me to lose weight. Where can we go to get help, support and insights? I so totally understand you.
