Not a whole lot to share this week, but I do want to tell you guys how sore I am. Ok, I really did not understand that walking out side is so much more intense than the treadmill! The weather was really nice this week and I decided to take my workouts to the outdoors. It was great! The sun was shining the wind was blowing. I loved it. The first day I walked and even ran at some points. The second day too!! It was so exhilarating. Until the pain came! OMG!! My legs are extremely sore. Everything from the waist down aches. I can barely walk and it is just horrible to sit and stand. It is soooo funny. Now I do this on the treadmill all the time and I never have the reaction. I have just been laughing at myself. So, I am determined to walk and run until it no longer hurts. I really felt the burn and I loved it. I had to leave for a trip briefly so I didn't go today, but if I were home I would. You know I will be right back out there on Monday. I got some new training shoes and I am armed with determination. I will hit that pavement over and over. I push myself harder when I am out there. Also, it is not all flat ground. There are some nice inclines and rugged areas, which make for a great workout.
I gotta say, I am glad that I love exercising. Normally if something hurts me I stop. But, I am not giving up that easily. I have a goal and I am going to reach it. I want to run a 5K! I am telling the world. I decided it at the beginning of the year. This year I am going to run a 5K, so I am starting to train now. Have any of you done it? How was it? How did you train?
