My semi-annual blog? LOL

Wednesday, April 01, 2009

I guess I'm just not much of a blogger. Can't seem to get into the habit of updating this blog on a regular basis. But, hey, last time it took me a year, this time only 6 months...LOL....Progress right? LOL.

Over this past winter I got certified as a personal trainer, so have added that to my previous training certification for nutritional consulting and teaching. I've been teaching some fitness classes as well as working with individual clients.

We have made plans to go back to Scotland this summer, plus some of England, Wales, and Ireland as well. Because of the trip, have pretty much decided to forgo planting a veggie garden this spring. When we went to Scotland a couple of years ago, the garden pretty much croaked in my absence. Might still do a fall garden though, since here in Texas we can harvest pretty much up through Christmas. Really looking forward to being able to get local produce soon and doing some more canning when I can get the really good stuff.

We are in that "is it really spring or not" stage right now. Been getting back into running, outdoor cycling, and yardwork more with the nicer weather but it has been spotty since some days are still too cold, windy, or rainy for me to do much outdoors.

Another Sparker and I are working on a new Spark Team and once we have that set up, I plan to do a redesign of my Spark Page and even change my Spark user name. More on that later.

Need to cut this a bit short as I have an early morning Zumba class coming up.

Congratulations on being a personal trainer. That is great! I'm sure you will be excellent at that. You may already be on your trip by now but wanted to tell you I hope you really enjoy it. I would forget the garden too if you will be gone. I'm not on SP much anymore but do want to keep in touch. Rosy

P.S. I will be in Texas in July but it will be the Houston/League City area.
