I'm back to SparkPeople

Tuesday, March 31, 2009

Gosh...looking at the last entry, it's been a long time. I went on a month long trip to Italy May-June of 2008 and came home to nothing but a lot of packing and moving. All the stress from moving from a home of 41 years over to the farm has not been kind to me eating as I should.
We have an old house now with the front being built in 1832 and the back and my studio apt in lots of work has had to be done. We gutted the kitchen and remodeled one bathroom and repainted EVERYTHING since it had been smoked in for 50 one more bathroom and we can rest a little.
My husband is really bad about what he eats...fried foods, candy and stuff like that. NO...HE will not change but is skinny with no health problems at 68. It really is hard to prepare for two different kinds of diet in a family, especially if you don't have a lot of energy. That said, I HAVE TO GET BACK TO A BETTER DIET for back to Sparkpeople and the food journal.

I'd gotten down to the 168 # and now am up to 184# again.........not as bad as when I started SparkPeople but still it takes a long time for me to lose a pound or two.

Today is the day for my change back to a healthy lifestyle.

I am in the same boat with you. Too much travel and eating out. I have gained back and cannot seem to lose a pound. Sounds like you have been really busy with your house. Doesn't that make you mad when some people can eat all the fattening things and never gain a pound? Good that you have a healthy husband anyway. Keep plugging away as I will do. Rosy
