My first blog ever - another offshoot of my daughter's inspiration. Three weeks ago my daughter and I engaged in a conversation about how hard I was finding it to take the steps I needed to change my lifestyle. I was eating the wrong things at the wrong times. I was at my highest weight ever, my energy level had decreased and my arthritis was becoming more of a problem. My daughter, who hopes to major in nutrition when she heads off to college in another year and a half, suggested I start by looking at what I was eating. She introduced me to a government site that helps track food intake by the food pyramid. We talked about changes I could make - and even helped me get lunch and snacks prepared to take to work for the first couple of days. We talk daily about how to have a healthier lifestyle and are working as a team to see it happen. I can already see and feel the difference. Now - to get the fitness level up!
