I'm blogging to track my 30 day shred progress. I'm planning to shred 2-3 times a week along with my current biking routine. I started with 3 lb weights and added in 5 and 7 lb weights after 11 days.
02/08/09- 30 Day shred Level 1, Day 1.
I thought it was hard but not impossibly hard. Not liking the bicycle abs. The next day I was sore in my shoulders and chest.
02/09/09- Biking- 38 min
02/10/09- day off, although I did get some walking in. Our 4 year anniversary!
02/11/09- Biking- 43 min
02/12/09- 30 Day shred Level 1, Day 2
Much easier than the first day.
02/13/09- Day off
02/14/09- Day off- does shopping count as exercise? I was exhausted. ;)
02/15/09- Another day off. Family commitments and poor planning on my part. What was I thinking??
02/16/09- 30 Day shred Level 1, Day 3
A bit hard today. Probably because I took 3 days off! bad. bad. bad.
02/17/09- 30 Day shred Level 1, Day 4
I could definitely tell I did it two days in a row, but it felt good. My DH did some of it with me and he was impressed. I think I need to buy some 3 & 5 lb weights soon.

F 02/20/09- day off- Happy hour with DH. We had to celebrate his case settling.
S 02/21/09- 30 Day shred Level 1, Day 5
Can tell I took 2 days off. Feels good to move.
S 02/22/09- 30 Day shred Level 1, Day 6 (Followed by 2.5 hrs of serious house cleaning)
M 02/23/09- Biking 40 min - 10 miles- moderate/hard pace
T 02/24/09- 30 Day shred Level 1, Day 7
W 02/25/09- Biking 40 min - 10 miles- hard pace
TH 02/26/09- day off- worked late
F 02/27/09- Biking 40 min - 10 miles- hard pace
S 02/28/09- 30 Day shred Level 1, Day 8
Still challenging but it is getting easier.
Tried to buy 5 lb weights today but Target was out. Annoying. And, I'm a dork who wants my weight set to match so I didn't buy the set I saw at the drug store.
S 03/01/09- 30 Day shred Level 1, Day 9
The Shred is feeling pretty good now. Some exercises are much easier. Some are still challenging. I'm trying to decide if I want to stay at level 1 for more than 10 days. Decisions, decisions.
M 03/02/09- 30 Day shred Level 1, Day 10!
Well, it's still challenging. I was tired. My arms got tired. Not sure that I'm ready to move on to level 2 just yet, so I think I'll wait.

S 03/28/09- Shred Level 1, Day 17. Did it in the morning. I can tell I haven' been doing morning workouts for awhile. Started to incorporate 7 lb weights with the 3s and 5s! (Only for chest fly.) FIRST DAY that I've actually thought I might be ready to try level 2, but didn't do it yet.
S 03/29/09- Shred Level 1, Day 18. 3, 5 & 7 lb wts! Feeling good and strong.
M 03/30/09- 40 min bike. Moderate/hard. 10+ mi.
T 03/31/09- Shred Level 1, Day 19. 3, 5 & 7 lb wts. Early morning workout. Unusual for me, but it felt good.
