been a long time

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

Hi everyone. Well its been a long time. Its been a long winter (and the last 2 days were in the 30s and nights 15 EWWWW so much for spring LOL) any way in the winter I get really depressed and dont really do much. the pain level goes sky high and this winter was miserable. I have barely tracked my food, let alone did any exercise but I have still been measuring my foods, and trying to stay within my limits altho many times I failed. But on the ghood note, usually every winter ive been here ive gained a average of 20 to 30 lbs! this year I gained 6 lbs so to me thats not too bad (yea I know, were supposed to be losing not gaining LOL) We lost 3 ferrets this winter and my best friend destiny (my poodle) passed away before christmas, I miss them terrible and especially destiny, she came from the spca, we got her at 8 weeks old and she only lived to be 11. So that hasnt made my depression any easier. but spring is here (or so the calender says it is, we get snow storms in april so its a little ways off really lol) and hopefully the pool will open in june (Im praying it opens) and we all know how much I like the water! So Im hoping after a month of water jogging and swimming I will be back where I was before winter set in. Im praying we move to texas this year, its warmer there, and for so much longer, the dry heat makes my pain less so Im really praying we move this summer.
any way I missed you all, I hope everyone had a good winter and look forward to a wonderful spring and summer :) hugs to all

thank you everyone :) my depression seems to be lifting some altho I think I may be going thru pre menapause, and I get REALLY irritable, like if someone even looks at me, not good LOL but im taking some vitamins that are supposed to help with that and the night sweats, we will see if it helps. Hopefully I can get back in the swing of things soon, still to cold out for anything, but soon. maybe a move to texas this summer (I could use that, its so much warmer and for so much longer!) hugs to all, I wish you all the very best :) emoticon

Hey there pretty Lady, you have been missed . i was just looking at friends the other day and thought about you. I have a sick Uncle so have been very busy.
Sounds like winter wasn't too unkind to you weightwise, just in other departments. Sorry about the loss of your pets. That is a tough one. Sounds like you are ready to tackel this head on once again. You can do it. Good luck and here's to a wonderful Spring and summer! emoticon emoticon

Hi! I'm so glad that you posted, I've been wondering how you've been doing. That seasonal depression can really be a PITA and I'm so sorry that you lost your pets emoticon emoticon . I have to agree, only 6 lbs when you usually gain 5x as much? That's quite the accomplishment, especially when you've been feeling so down in the dumps. Last week it was pretty warm so I went running at the park, but Monday it was 23 (our high!) so I figured I'd stick to the indoors thing. Fingers crossed for you for some warm weather and pool time! emoticon Take care of yourself emoticon
