Where has the time gone?

I joined SP last year August and was at an all time high of 231 lbs! I could not believe that when I got on the scale and it hurt to see the number. I knew that I had gained weight but certainly didn't see myself being that size. And then I stumbled across SP - WOW a free site that offers so many tools to help me lose weight, along with tons of support by the members who are trying to do the same thing - Change Their Lives and Lose Weight!

After almost a year, my weight has ranged from 231 down to 218/219. That's a big step and accomplishment for me but I feel like I could be doing more. I read so many stories on SP and so many are doing well and have really changed their lives. I want to be there too! I know that it takes time and commitment but it just never seems to be enough time in the day.

This year, I am going to make a strong commitment to walk, walk and walk and to ride my stationery back. By the way, it is currently holding clothes. It's time for me to take my life back and make some changes for me. I want to be a healthier, happier me. Also, I have to say goodbye to Pepsi. I don't know if I can do it cold turkey - but I'm willing to try.

So, for my 1-year anniversary I plan to be down at least 10 lbs. That's my short-term goal for now.

    Hi there!

I have a challenge for you:

Track your food every day for two weeks.

Use the first week of tracking to figure out how to tweak things into your ranges. During the second week, try to hit your ranges every day.

Don't worry about the exercise during those two weeks - you can worry about that later.

See what happens! A very small investment for what could be the beginning of a huge payoff!

(Oh, and yeah, sorry - swap the Pepsi for water - after two weeks of drinking water you probably won't even like the taste of the Pepsi anymore!)
