Still Here part II

Thursday, March 12, 2009

I am still plugging along. I jumped on the scale and it is up. Why I don't know. I am eating the same literally even though I haven't been logging it. My excersise is less than it was this summer but I am still doing 20 min in the am on the gazelle and some mornings walking Katie at least 10 minutes. I keep increasing our distance but it seems our time is still only 10 minutes so we must be walking faster. I have increased our distance by a bunch in the evening walk. Those we start out at about a medium pace but on the way back I make her slow down. I don't want her to over due it. The last several mornings though we haven't been able to get out due to it being below zero. Hopefully the weather will be changing soon. With the warm weather comes the wind though. I think I would rather have the cold. Those cold crisp walks are kind of refreshing.

I went and had my ears stapled again. This time they hurt. I haven't seen much of a difference yet. Maybe soon. I am also going in Monday and be checked for sugar, wheat and one other food allergy that was mentioned. The acupuncturalist said that he has seen some clinical results in some of his other patiences that have had the treatment. He also had me watch a video about the treatment and it was pretty interesting so I said why not. I am not being poked or give some crazy drugs or something. It is worth a try. After watching the video I am going to talk to him about my acid reflux and hayfever allergies. Some people never have to take the medicines again after the treatment. It might be worth the money if that were the case. Wouldn't it be nice to never have to take prilosec or claritin again? To me it would.

Let us know how your results turn out from the ear stapling! Accupuncture is supposed to be a very effective alternative to traditional medicines. Keep me up on how that goes! Hang in there with the scale -- damn things, I swear they are here to make our lives crazy!! You are doing great with your exercise!!!

That would be great if the acupuncturist could cure all your medical problems. Good luck. I am sure the scale will go back down again.
