Had a check-up today

Thursday, February 19, 2009

I admit, like most people, check-ups aren't my first choice of how to spend a hour of my time, but it's a necessity. My last appointment was 11/08 for pneumonia. Of course the first thing that was done was my weight.... Are you ready??? 190!!! And that was fully dressed (except shoes) not the way I weigh myself in the AM. I told my Dr a bit about SparkPeople and how much good it has done for me, she's going to check it out to see if it's a site she can comfortably recommend to other patients that need to loose weight, exercise, etc. Now I know she's going to find an amazing amount of great information on SP. I've told her about the Nutrition & Fitness trackers and the great support system here, but seeing is believing, and I'm sure she'll be a believer once she checks this site out.

Can you tell I'm hooked on SP?

The last time I had my yearly check up I also printed out my nutritional tracker and showed my DR. I educated her about SP and she was also pretty impressed.

Personally, I've put off my mamo --- it is NOT my favorite appointment!

One of my sisters is a Type 2 Diabetic and used the nutrition tracker and printed it up and took it to one of her appointments and her dr was VERY impressed. It IS a great tool! For anything you need to watch (carbs for diabetes, sodium for HBP etc) there is a way to track it.

Love it. Two birds with one stone. You got your checkup done *and* you managed to squeeze in a plug for SP at the same time! :)

Nice work!

I'm assuming the results are going to be great - you've been working out, eating right, losing weight - all the good stuff WILL have an impact. Even better, you may have helped hundreds of other patients simply by mentioning SP to your doc ... you did something GREAT there!

Keep up the great work!

It's a great site, and the support and encouragement people get here is amazing!!
