Still Here

Sunday, February 15, 2009

I am still here alive and kicking after a year. I haven't lost tons of weight but I have changed my lifestyle. To the point that my son is frustrated with me. He was rumaging through the fridge and cuboard looking for something to eat and blurts out there is no food in the house. I had just come back from the grocery store! He couldn't find anything because he said all of the food is healthy stuff! I said so? He said I don't need healthy stuff! I told him to deal with it or buy his own. And then I realized that I had changed. I may not have lost tons of weight but I really watch what I get and try to get as much whole grain stuff and organic as I can afford. It makes it difficult sometimes with the rising price of everything. And I don't foresee it getting better.

On that note I had thought that the second job I had picked up to try and get caught up with I would be able to quit this spring. I don't foresee that happening. Katie blew her knee out a few weeks ago which is one more bill I have and then my ex quit his job so no more childsupport until they catch up with him again. Even though I don't count on the money it will just be longer until I get Katie's leg paid for because part of my other job's money will be going for paying the CC's off. That is how it goes sometimes. At least I have my health this year and I have my bills paid so things could be worse.

One good thing is that I am finally upgrading my internet and dropping my home phone. I have been wanting to do this for a while and just have not had the money to do it. Well no more procastination. After figuring it out it will actually save me about 30 bucks a month. And I am finally starting to excersise in the am. I am only doing about 18 minutes on the gazelle but that is 18 minutes in the am that I haven't done before. I am just not an am excersizer. I am not an am anything but am slowly working it in.

Slow and steady wins the race, my friend. How cool to realize how much you have changed. Keep up all the good things you do for you and Tanner.

I admire your abundant strength, drive and tenacity as a woman and a mother who does what she has to do to take care of her family inspite of ex obstacles. Your parents must be very proud of you. You are setting a good example for Tanner. Congratulations on a year well spent on living healthier. Vicki
