Some changes

Friday, February 13, 2009

During this week, I got another choreworker. The gentleman that had been my choreworker is starting his radiation treatments for his cancer, and the scheduled time is afternoons when he had been coming to my house. So I got a lady whom I have seen before as a substitute on days when other choreworkers have been sick or have an appointment or family obligations. She really likes my critters, so we will get along pretty well. Also she is a Christian -- her son is a minister.

I got a call earlier this week informing me that my gastroenterologist asked for a special test to be done in Seattle -- about a two hour drive from my little town. I have arranged with my daughter to do the driving, which is good, since I understand that I may be sedated, so shouldn't be driving back! It will take just about all day since in the morning I see the doctor who is the consultant and the afternoon is for the test. Of course, it is one of those tests that requires several days of special diet, etc. for preparation. Evidently the consulting doctor is from India, according to the info they sent about him.

I have to admit a tad of nervousness about the procedure and the results. I will have to remember to keep praying!!!

God will be with you all the way cause he cares about you. Today I go to my eye doctors appointment and I see them they always have something new to do for your eyes. The last time I was there they had this machine that you put your eyes in and they spray air in your eyes don't know why but I can see it now and besides I hate that.
I'm glad that your daughter will be taking you up to Seattle for this cause I sure don't want to hear from the news or Pastor Bruce that your in the hospital in Seattle. Take care and I love you.

Let us know what day the test is so we can remember you in prayer that day. And also for traveling mercies. Two hours one way is quite a little trip.

So sorry they keep changing your choreworker, but so glad she's a she and a Christian and an animal lover. God is good!

Hope all goes well with your tests. Continue to lean on Christ. He is bigger than all the tests in the world and He has walked these steps before you. He will continue to provide for your every need. I am lifting you up to Him right now. Thank you Father, for my sister in Christ. Please comfort her, give her travel mercies, and guide the medical staff with her treatments. In your precious Son's name, Jesus, we cry out to you. Amen!

I hope your appointment with the specialist goes well. It is great that the Lord has provided you with the right medication and information about how to take it. I know it is frustrating when you don't get all the information you need to optimize the medicine's healing effects. I'm glad your daughter is able to take you for the test. It will be good to have here there as support too not just as the taxi service. Glad the chore worker is working out for you too.

I'll put you in my prayers and I hope the pre-appointment diet isn't too terrible.
God Bless-Gracie emoticon Happy Valentines Day too
