I am in a medical assisting program and have been an Army Medic/EMT for about 10 years now. Well, in one of my MA classes we are being evaluated on performing CPR. On a break today, most of the girls were saying how useless that training is and that they might call 911, but never do the CPR themselves. THEY'RE GOING INTO THE MEDICAL FIELD!!! Sorry, but this is disgusting, very lousy, and very scary! I know most of them don't care to learn more than what they need to know to pass tests, but eventually they may be a contributing factor to someone living or dying. Had to vent a bit about this and don't know whether I should talk with the instructor. I wouldn't want these women to have to assist physicians I am seeing.
