So I thought I should do a little recap for myself. I didn't actually do any formal goals this month which is odd for me. I did do MTC again this month.
MTC: I have 2 more days to go which I will finish off this coming week. I mostly did the circuits once through each except this week I did them twice as I didn't do as much cardio due to my leg. My biceps are popping again!
Running: this has been a tough month. The weather has been snowier than usual and I haven't been able to run outside a ton. DS is starting to refuse to go out in the stroller. This forced me to run more on the treadmill. However, about mid month after my 5km race I started to develop issues on my outer shins. After this week when I went to massage and bought new runners it was pointed out that when I run faster or on the treadmill I seem to underpronate. This does make sense because after my massage after my half last may I was having some soreness in the same area. I guess I change my gait when I run faster or on the treadmill. I am not sure how to fix this. I almost fell off the treadmill yesterday because I kept staring at my feet to try to run "normally." I ended up with just 40.85 miles for the month which is very low compared to my usual 60-75 miles.
Weight: I am still maintaining at this time. I tracked my weight this month on my super duper spread sheet I made this month and it averaged out to 130.92 lbs. It went as high as 134 during TOM and was down to 129.5 for a few days here and there. I exercised less this month and was probably eating about 2000 cals a day.
I ended up burning 8331 calories this month. I took 6 complete rest days this month.
I got my yoga DVD. I somewhat enjoy it. It is about 20 minutes long. Well there is 5 different 20 min programs. I have done a bit better at relaxing. A couple of times this month after I stretched I would just lay still on the floor for one whole song. Doesn't seem like a lot but it was absolute torture!!!!!
So for February:
-strength train at least 2 times per week
-get outside and run more
-take the time to stretch and self massage lower legs
-yoga 2 times per week
-try at least 2 new recipes
-fast food only 1 time a week
I also think I am going to try to sell my bike so I can buy a cross-over bike. The bike I bought last summer doesn't really suit my needs. It is a bit too heavy and I will admit slow. That way I can participate in a sprint triathlon or a duathlon. When the new bridge opens I may even be able to ride to work if dh is home and I don't have to drop ds off somewhere. As much as I want a road bike at this point I feel I would use a cross bike more at this point as much as my riding is on they dyke with ds.
