So I've been MIA in the workout department given a week of the "ick" at my house w/ the boys & then a horrid cold that lasted 3 weeks. Luckily I stayed focused on my calorie in-take & dropped a couple of pounds in the process of chaos! Now that I am able to breath the working out started up again lastnight. I was just telling my friend Amber that I felt rejuvinated & accomplished because I truly missed it. Ha, who'd know that I'd miss working out!!!???
On Saturday we had our son's 2nd b-day party. I wore a pair of jeans that my mother in law got me after having my first son. ( My clothes didn't get old since I got pregnant shortly after each delivery!) Anywho, I've been wearing those jeans with no problem. This weekend however I found that I kept sinching up the sides. Not that they were falling a lot, but enough to get my attention. Keep in mind... I LOVE these jeans. They're made by Chico's & I don't understand their sizing system! I'd say their like a 10 in comparison. So Monday I threw them back on & low and behold they're a little looser then they were on Saturday. I decided to throw a belt on. I swear a belt is my worst enemy. I have a J-Lo booty. Always have & always will. I love it, but it doesn't always accomodate my clothing! The belt I used was old...never used because it was waaaaaaaaay to small. So, I've had it for at least 4 years which was before my 1st son was born! I was able to get it on & sinch it to the 3rd hole. It's a medium belt w/ 5 holes. For fashion purpose I wouldn't wear that belt any tighter even if it did go to the 2nd hole in!!! lol. But I was excited to wear a belt, be comfortable keeping it around my waist all day long. It's been a looooooooooooooong time.
The small things I'm noticing & holding on to that to get me through my goal! Half way there sounds really good to me!
