I lost 40lbs with SP!!

Friday, January 23, 2009

Since April last year I have lost 40 pounds from 205 lbs to my current weight of 165 lbs! I still have about 25 pounds left to lose but I am kinda surprised I have got so far. I knew I would've have eventually lost my excess weight that I hated but still, it seems unbelievable to actually have lost 3 stone+.

I had my plateaus lasting over a month sometimes, the hardship of trying to not eat fattening things and working out hard but it goes to show that eating health and exercise do work. Fad diets are useless; no wonder ppl lose weight on something like a grapefruit diet - they get sick of it eventually and can't keep with the diet.

I'm glad I've lost 40 lbs because it has reinvigorated my determination to keep on the effort and lose the other 25lbs. I hoped to lose all my excess weight by last new years but to be honest as long as I lose the weight, I don't care how long it takes me to get there. I think SP is so useful with all its tools, etc, and made me realise that losing weight is about the journey by looking at what you eat and do, rather than just look at the end goal without the means to reach it.

What can I say but thank you spark people for helping me lose 40 lbs!

Congratulations, you have almost reached your goal. What you say is so true - it is about hard work and healthy eating which takes determination. Anything worth having is not easy or else it wouldn't be worth - AND WE CERTAINLY ARE WORTH IT.

Congrats again! and keep up the good work. emoticon

I'm with you; I love SP too! It takes me longer, but I don't care either, as long as I get there -- and stay at least reasonably close to "there".
