Baking and not eating

Saturday, January 17, 2009

My fiancÚ likes his sweets and I am always baking for him, cookies, pies, and cakes to have on hand either here at my house our at his house. Sweets have been my downfall all along so it is going to be hard if I am still baking and trying to to eat emoticon them or to eat them in moderation. How do you count the calories on home baked goodies. Especially since I will be living with him in March. Hmmmmm, maybe I need to put him on a diet too. emoticon

This is a real challenge! It's so hard when someone in the house enjoys their sweets but never gains a pound from them! The only way you can get a calorie count for homemade if the recipe doesn't list the nutrition facts is to translate each ingredient into a total then divide by number of servings. You might want to post your recipe here at Sparks and let the calculator do the work for you. Then you can print it out and always have it on hand.

    Good luck
