if i would have known....

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

i got up at 5:35 this morning. got in 45 minutes of exercise with ms. leslie before going to babysit r.'s nephew. i could have gotten in another half an hour, had i known r was going to get up 45 minutes later than usual.
oh well.

the day went much longer than anticipated, so i didnt get back here till 3:35. but i came in and got in another 40 minutes with ms. leslie.
had i known r. would be home an hour later tonite, i would have been able to get in at least another half hour.

i did stop to kinney drugs (can you tell i really live in a small town if thats that only store?)
to get fat free milk for a recipe i plan on making (cinnamon raisin bites for 82 calories a piece)
and i also had to get raisins.
while i was in there i got a diet coke and was looking for raisins. in the candy bar aisle.
i looked right at all of that candy.
all of those cookies.
the peanuts, the trail mix.
the kashi bars.
and then i said, nope. not today.

so i have to make up 35 minutes tomorrow for the 35 missing from today for the two hours.
thats not terrible, i guess....

strength training.
clean out closet.
2 miles treadmill.
2 hours leslie.
make up 35 minutes.

oh and r.'s sister's dog today definitely came up under the table and bit me in the boob today.
for no reason.
not hard, but hard enough that i screamed and r.'s nephew laughed.

Congratulations on getting through the candy aisle unscathed! You will have to let us know how your recipe comes out. I sent off for the subscription to that magazine last week. I'm really looking forward to it.

Sorry about the boob. Doggy needs some manners.

Okay, so what the heck was up with that dog? Maybe I should just stick to cats...they might scratch you but at least they don't molest your lady-parts! Congrats on getting your workouts in. Now that I'm back to 2 nights a week of class, it's more important than ever that I get my morning exercise in. It's so late by the time I get home that I want to go straight to bed!

Oh Lord, I laughed my ass off about that silly dog biting you, and now I feel bad. I hope it wasn't really painful. Dogs are such clowns. I totally admire your attitude about the candy aisle: not today. That is the way to do it, I think, one day at a time. Approaching candy and sweets that way is very sensible. Yay for you getting so much exercise done--and thanks for the info you left on my blog about the tae bo being do-able. I am definitely going to invite Mr. Billy Blanks over for a real blubber burn-fest soon.

Oh no! Not a boobie bite!! When Doc was a pup, we had him at my dad's house, and he just all the sudden jumped up and bit my boob! But he bit it pretty hard, I had to get a very large band-aid. It scared the hec out of me, but was funny later...glad that you did not have the same problem.

Your cinnamon raisin bites sound yummy! And props to you for not surrendering to the power of the candy bar aisle!!

I will say it again and are totally killer with your workouts woman! Man o man...I did an hour of cardio and felt accomplished...then I see on here all that you do, whew! Awesome job, Dee, even if you missed 35 minutes. Hope that you have a great night and a happy hump day :-)
