I am within my calories today! I cleaned out my fridge, and there are no leftovers in there at all. I have apples, lettuce, and bananas to eat. I have been going a little crazy on the peanut butter lately. I think I have eaten almost an entire large jar of Jif in the past week mostly all on my own. About a cup of that was from yesterday, I'm sure. I used a couple of apples as the peanut butter's mode of transportation from dish to mouth. I think I was trying to trick myself into thinking I was eating healthy by using the apple in that fashion. hahahaha! SO, today, I limited myself to three tablespoons of peanut butter with my apple. You know, it was actually enough. Over the holidays and the fallout since, my body has forgotten what hunger felt like. I am back to the not hungry in the mornings feeling, and that is a sure sign that my metabolism is stuck and not burning the food up like it's supposed to. (Ya just gotta love SP and all the informative articles!) Anyways... I just wanted to check in here and say this is officially DAY 1, 2009, of Stephanie Staying Within Her Caloric Limits. No, I was not perfect. No, I did not get enough protein. Yes, I was a little over on the fat grams. It's okay. I had some healthy food. I stayed within my range. I worked out. A whole week of at least 15 minutes of cardio per day! I am doing better. Crossing my fingers that the scale is my friend on the next weigh-in! Bring on DAY 2, 2009! Bring it on!

    Hey ya gotta start small and work into a streak...sounds like you're on the right track! I think I'm with you there on the PB...WTH? lol But I use unsalted saltines for my mode of transportation, or a 90 calorie chocolate chunk granola bar...spread a thin layer on it and it tastes like a candy bar!!! I gotta be careful though or I'll eat the whole dang box! Anyhoo, good luck on Day 2! You can do it!!! :-)
