Painting is Good Therapy

Saturday, January 10, 2009

Painting...been painting away...painting that soon to be ex-hubby right out of my house and my life...for all of you that have known me a while you are well aware of the turmoil and drama that he put me thru...his infidelity, deceit, lies and mental abuse pushed me to fight for my goals even harder...his desire to try to break me what the fire under my feet for a long he is gone...I can finally enjoy being home...I used to hide from my house, stay at the gym or the pool until I knew he would be asleep or not home...was just torture....NOT ANY MORE.....I AM DONE....time to live my life...

That was my room before...the ugliest peach that you ever did see...LMAO...once the hubby moved out I just couldn't sleep in there...needed a change, and quick..

MY NEW ROOM...LOVE IT...a BIG change...heck I do everything extreme and intense so why should my room be any room is now my is so relaxing...I come home every night and light tons of candles & just relax..

This is the little bathroom off my bedroom...I have changed it a bit since this picture, some pictures and stuff....didn't take a before pic here...sorry.

These are pictures of the main Lexie and her friend did this all themselves...they had alot of fun...we are each trying to make the house our own....I love that we are spending time together painting, laughing and working towards a goal..very comforting to me.

Off to go relax in my new room....thanks for reading

I love what you all have done in YOUR home. It is beautiful.
Heather I am so sorry to read that you have been going through such a difficult time.
I hurt for you. I have been there honey. It was about 15 years ago. It takes time. You need to go through the whole process on your own terms. There is a good life on the other side of this and know that I am praying for you.
Love ya,

Hey Heather - so glad to hear that you are making more positive changes in your life. Funny how when the weight comes off and the self esteem goes up, we can change other things that need fixing too. You are and will always continue to be such an inspiration to me and many to other people on Spark. Life is an adventure - enjoy the ride!

hehe u got it done!! Nice color for the bedroom. It looks WAY better!!!!! And Lexie and her friend did a good job. It looks nice and not too girly, just like a nice bathroom!! Good thing u started to clean up and change up the house. You don't want to come home and have reminders of "him" all over the place.

Awww...Congratulations! I love the changes. And, I love how you refer to your before self as 'fluffy'. It's as if you have given that girl a big hug and let her go lovingly. Thanks for keeping it all so positive. You are truly an inspiration. Nothing but peaceful good times ahead for you and your daughter. You have shown her true strength in the face of adversity.

Best wishes!
