sister and nephews came over for dinner this evening. well, actually they came over so i could help bird with his school work.
i got up at 5:40 this am to clean a little and i was going to workout at 6 am, but then r. got up thinking he'd have to do the driveway so we could get out, but the storm was over and he didnt have to.. so i just cleaned and the workout was skipped.

went shopping with my mom today. had a good time. we went to subway where i got a half a veggie patty sub. and almost peed my pants laughing at remembering our trip to NYC about a year ago where my mom got SO mad at me for getting lost and also fell down an escalator backwards somehow, and fell on her face in front of madison square garden.
i laughed so hard then, but even harder now...

got home, finished cleaning and then got the dinner ready to go in the oven before they got here. i helped bird with his homework while joey did his homework out here on my laptop.
as i was helping bird he was talking about how he was failing and how he needs to get organized, and i suggested asking his teachers if he could do some extra credit.
i also told him if he ever ever needs help to call, and if he needs a quiet place, i will come up and get him and he can come down here to study/do his homework.

he was unpacking his bag and he took out the book i gave him for christmas--50 things every young gentleman should know.
i almost cried seeing it.
it means a lot to me that he carries it with him.
he said he hasnt began reading it yet because he has to focus on schoolwork, but that he cant wait.
oh jeez. im tearing up just thinking about it.
moving on.

so dinner. if youve ever read my blogs, you know the nephews have food issues.
so i made pizza roll ups, got some garlic rolls and for dessert, an eight piece cheesecake sampler. i also made punch.

they each had two pizza roll ups and a garlic bread piece, and although jo wanted another pizza roll up, he was told no, because there was still dessert.

i had one pizza roll up and one piece of garlic bread.
i also had one piece of cheesecake.
445 calorie slice but it was worth every bite.

the important thing is that they saw me throw two pieces of cheesecake away, and they also saw me give their mom the leftover chocolate piece, even though they knew i wanted it.
and, my nephew said to me, hey dee, is that the SAME soda you've been drinking, or is it a new one?
i said same one, jo, why?
you've been drinking it a long time.

and my sister commented about how i look like ive lost even more (i havent) and my nephew was like, oh yeah, she's skinny now.

and my sister says my face is looking better since ive been using the apple cider vinegar on my acne.
despite getting an overwhelming urge to dye easter eggs, it seems to work.

Have you ever tried crushed up aspirin dissolved in a little water as a skin tonic? It's great, softens and smooths. I'm glad the vinegar is working for you.

I know when I was little, it meant so much to having caring adults besides my parents that I could talk with and feel safe around. Congrats on demonstrating great nutrition habits.
