Ok, I'm really trying not to make excuses, but struggling horribly with the level one of the 30 day shred. I can do it, but I hear my knees go "creeek" with each lunge and it scares me. I've done it 5 times and it's not getting any easier on my knees.
Jillian keeps saying "20 minutes of intense cardio, strength training and ab work....." takes the place of "hours of phoning it in at the gym". Now I don't use a gym, so I'm really not even sure what "phoning it in at the gym" means. I get that it's an intense series designed to cram a lot in a short amount of time, I've just decided for me it's not worth it. I'd rather spend more time and not feel like I'm jeopardizing my knees.
I'm going to stick with the 30 day boot camp plan-which I've also been following. I'm just going to do more stationary bike work or WATP video to make sure I meet my 30 minute cardio quota.
I've been doing Coach Nicoles 10 minute workouts too, and they don't hurt my knees like Jillian's does.
So I guess that's my review of the 30 day shred. Sounds like a good plan, and I was sure motivated to look like Jillian, but when I think about my quote
"no easy solutions, just painful trade-offs"- this painful trade-off isn't worth it for me! I'll get there... I'll lose more weight and get down to my goal, but I'm not going to kill myself.
My other thought was as I was doing this excruciating video.... there's no way in the world that I would keep this up after 30 days. I need to do something I can continue and keep up and this wasn't it!!!
