Flow: For Love Of Water
Thursday, January 08, 2009
While one might question the appropriateness of this ecological topic, one has to admit that WATER is one of the fundamental ingredients of the SparkPeople approach.
Although I've been aware of the growing concerns revolving about the availability of clean, potable water, my recent weekend of having NO water in my home (courtesy of a broken water pump) my eyes have been opened on a more personal level regarding the essential nature of water.
Folks, this is probably one of the most important documentaries of the decade!
---Did you know that water wars have already been waged?
---Fish in the river Seine have been changing gender?
---Eskimo Inuit women are testing positive for herbicides in their breast milk, despite living in regions far removed from agriculture?
---An herbicide that has been banned by most of Europe and Canada is still widely used in the United States and leeches into our ground water?
There are so many frightening and truthful stories in this documentary which is attempting to sound the alarm that all of us need to fiercely guard one of nature's most vital and precious resources: WATER!

I would urge any and all of you to purchase this DVD and view it with friends, family and pass it along to others.
We have a universal need for water and must do all we can to insure that sufficient water is available to all for many, many generations to come!
