My husband definitely influences my eating habits. He can eat anything any time and not gain weight. In the last 5 months I have packed on the pounds (10-12). I joined Spark to get back on track and stay on track. My husband is very supportive. He has volunteered to eat all the left over holiday candy, fudge etc... LOL As nice as that is I have asked him to also help with joining me in healthier eating habits. Of course he was all for that...but the minute I decide to bake a triple fudge cake he'll be all for it. So he's supportive when I'm on track, but if I'm off he is a total enabler. Of course, I haven't really been serious about long-term changes until recently. I think if he knows I'm really serious he will totally support what I'm doing and suggest that I just make something different for him. LOL I can't help, but laugh because he is the nicest guy, but weight has never been a concern for him. So I just don't think he gets it.
Having said all that, I am responsible for my eating habits. I get to decide what I eat and when. So when I go on a late night binge and ask my husband to go with me, I am responsible for the inevitable weight gain, not him. Wow, no one tell him I said that.
