12 Days of Christmas Challenge

Tuesday, January 06, 2009

I am not a "blogger". I'm sure that is obvious by my previous blogs, which were quotes from others. The only reason that I am even writing this, is that is was part of the challenge on the 12th day of Christmas.

I am a person that takes a challenge, then goes with it. I am my own competitor. If I am going to be part of a challenge, I will do everything in my power to succeed. This was a very difficult challenge for me, because it meant doing more. More water, more cardio, more strength training, more encouraging of others.

What benefit was it to me?
* An encouragement goes a long way, whether to a co-worker or an email buddy.
* I got back into the habit of doing the physical therapy exercises for my back that I had almost totally ignored for the last few months. This is not only strengthing my core, legs and arms, but will benefit my back for years to come.
* I even cooked more during the last few days of the challenge. That was a challenge all in it's own!
* I managed to get through the entire challenge with doing all that was asked.

Wow! I even impressed myself.
