Waking up to a new year

Thursday, January 01, 2009

So last night was probably my most relaxed New Year's to date. I have a glass of red wine and a sip of champagne. Andrew worked, and baby Michael tried to stay up with mommy but only made it to 11:30 PM.

I managed to stay up until 2AM with friends and got in bed ready to crash out. I thought to myself that now is the time for improvement. Now is time to take care of me. I got back up and decided to brush my teeth and wash my face. As simple as it sounds that made me feel like I was starting the new year off on a good foot. I put on all the nice lotions and eye cream etc. (the ladies would appreciate this) I got back in bed and fell asleep refreshed. I started the year off making myself a priority. I plan to continue to do so, allowing me to be all that much better suited to take care of my beautiful family & help others enhance their lives.

Sending out lots of positive vibes. emoticon

Woo hoo! Isn't it great being able to do something for you? I think all of us moms forget to do that each day. I'm always amazed how doing even the little things like fit in a shower after working out or being able to get my haircut (which reminds me it's been over 5 months, think I'm a little due...) makes you feel so refreshed and ready to tackle a new day. Here's to taking care of you emoticon Keep it up!
