Never lose sight of your goal!

Friday, December 12, 2008

Never lose sight of your goal. When temptations come, and they will, try to remember how nice it feels to get into a smaller size. So far that has kept me on track.

I hated having my picture taken - so much so that I would be the picture taker instead.

It took all my willpower to make the first picture at 178, shirt tucked in, and that was after losing 30 lbs. I felt so thin! Now I look at the picture and cringe. But we cannot hide from our past; we must learn from it.

You too will reach your magic weight and stop hating the camera. Now it is my DH asking, "do we take another picture today?"

You can do this! I am here for you! This is an older picture but I like the superwoman stance, lol. I look more like "keeping my eyes on the prize".

I truly can relate. I hate having my pic taken and sad thing is I don't have any professional family photos because of it and I did allow to have a picture with my DD's first birthday and DH just because I thought she needed to see us together but I hate to know she is going to look at that in her later part of life and go oh gosh you were fat! That part bothers me. But my keyword is were. Thanks for your post and you are inspiring and beautiful!

You not only have your eye on the prize, you are grabbing it with both hands.
Way to Go!!

I always hated having my picture taken until I realized there were big gaps in the family history when it seemed I was MIA. I didn't want my daughter or sisters to wonder. So for better or worse I always had at least one picture per gathering. Now I love having my picture taken.

That is a great picture--so full of confidence. You are looking terrific. I always hated to have my picture taken, even when I was thin. All I could ever see was my flaws. Now, of course, I'm glad to have the pictures people actually took anyway. Even looking at my fat pictures makes me feel good about how far I've come. So don't cringe! Have pride!
You are always so inspiring.
