Well I went to my Weight Watchers meeting tonight and they revealed their new plan. It's called the Momentum plan and I am really excited about it. It's not all that different from the old plan but it focuses on eating more foods that are more filling for you. That is an area that I really lack in. It's so easy to just eat whatever as long as you stay withing your calorie/points. ranges, but in actuality when we do that we aren't caring for our bodies the way we should. My biggest realization was that eating the filling foods like fruits, veggies, whole grains, etc. it's about making changes that will stick with me forever. Also becoming very important is listening to my body's hunger signals. When we listen to when our body really needs food we are eating to live instead of living to eat. This is something that I have struggled with my entire life because I am an emotional eater. It's so hard to break away from that. I'm getting better at it, but it's hard. I think this new plan is going to do great things for me. I'm excited to train myself to eat the way I know I should have been eating for years. Once it becomes second nature to choose veggies over french fries or something similar, I will really feel like I've made a great accomplishment.
