So something truly awesome happened to my mom today. Anyone who knows my mom knows that she is not only super cute, fun, and awesome, but she has been dealt kind of a rough hand health wise. On bright side she's been able to get her health in check and is better now than she was a year ago. Anyway today she went to rejoin the Y and the lady helping her register told her that she qualified for a free membership for a year. Considering my mom isn't exactly rolling in the dough this is totally huge for her. I'm so happy for her. She deserves this more than anyone else. After having such a rough couple of years the tide has finally turned her way. She called me this afternoon just glowing about it.
Along those same lines I'm also rejoining the Y. I just have to wait for my financial assistance letter to come in the mail. Though I don't think I'll qualify for the free membership, I'll be happy with whatever I get. I cannot wait to get back to the gym and have a proper workout. It's been soooo cold outside lately that I haven't been walking downtown as much. Plus I haven't gone running in the park nearby for like a month. So I feel pretty much like a slob and a lazy bum. So soon I shall be getting back to running on my beloved indoor track, getting buff on the strength training machines, and oh don't let me forget the elliptical. And I feel the Y is a bit safer than random downtown park, so that is a bonus.
Also I just got an email from apple telling me to be expecting my replacement iPod within the next week. It's been out of commission for a couple months now and a couple weeks ago I finally sent the poor thing in. It seems that apple hasn't screwed me over on the charges, in fact the price seems very low considering they quoted me a much higher price. I'll have to wait and see if there is an additional charge added to my card. But whatever happens, happens. I'm happy either way and have much to look forward to.
