Sometimes the smallest steps are the biggest accomplishments

Physical therapy is winding down for me. Today, I was at the gym working out and feeling impatient with my rehab progress. A teen walked into the weight room on a pair of crutches. He was 6 weeks out of his ACL surgery. We finished conversing & I went back to my leg curls. I was finally able to complete a set of 5 lb. leg curls. And while that may not seem like much to most, I was not able to do half of a set a week ago and not at all 4 weeks ago. Seeing that kid on his crutches and finally being able to finish a set of leg curls made me feel as if I'd made huge progress. I just lost myself in where I felt I should be instead of how far I've come.

My weight loss is alot like that. I get lost in where I feel I should be instead of acknowledging how far I've come.... And, that sometimes, it's the smallest steps that make for my biggest accomplishments.
