Bodybugg Study - Measurement #3

I had measurement #3 with Julie yesterday (November 1st), a couple weeks early this time. I am down 8 pounds and 4 inches since we met in July for a total of 15 pounds and 5.5 inches since I started using Bodybugg in April. I know it's not a lot, but I've been sick quite a few times and reinjured my back which kept me out of the gym a lot. I'm very excited about my losses since our last meeting though. I have PCOS which makes it extremely difficult to lose weight no matter what I do.

Honestly, I haven't been doing a good job of following my plan since late July, though. I've reevaluated my plan for Bodybugg and feel that it is pretty reasonable. I've decided to chunk my weightloss goals into smaller, more easily attainable pieces so I don't see that I still have to lose 57 more pounds - I have 17 pounds to lose then I will set another goal of 10-20 pounds at a time.

My next meeting with Julie will not be until mid-May. Hopefully I will be within 25 pounds of my ultimate goal by the time I meet up with her in May. This study continues until May 2010. I'm sure I'll meet my goal by then! emoticon

My personal training contract is up in about another month. Once those last sessions have been used, I'm thinking about taking up Zumba on a weekly basis to add a little more variety to my workouts. I watched a few minutes of a Zumba workout at my gym and after having gone to a real Zumba studio, it's just not the same! I'm looking forward to going back and trying it out again. It's so much fun.

    I think it's great that you've kept on going despite hurting your back. some are looking for excuses and some are looking for a way to win anyway.
You are winning because you continue to do what it takes even when it's not easy. Give yourself credit for that!

    Great idea to break down your goals into smaller, more manageable chunks. It easy to get discouraged or overwhelmed by a far away finish line, so I'm a firm believer in that and think it really works. Keep on keepin' on!
