Day 3

I just started my "diet" (aka lifestyle change) 3 days ago and I've already lost 2.5 pounds as of this morning. I'm so excited!

I originally had wnated to join Weight Watchers or something like that, but I was looking for a free program to track my calories, etc, and came across SparkPeople. This site and community are incredible! I have already learned so much in just a few short days.

I've been doing well on drinking my water and watching my calories. I've been having a hard time not eating WAY too many carbs (this will be my biggest challenge!) and I've not been eating enough protein or fat. (Do I "need" to try to eat more fat?)

I've also made one "buddy" so I can share the journey with someone else who is in a similar position. I'm just excited and so far it's been pretty easy. BUT, I know I'll have rough days down the road, too.
