It's October 18th and I've already reached my goal for the month! I'm waiting for Monday's weekly weigh-in to make it official, but it's now been three days in a row that I've weighed in somewhere in the 160-range (169.8 on Thursday, 169.0 on Friday, and 168.8 this morning). This means that not only have I reached my goal for the month, but I'm also less than six pounds away from a... wait for it... NORMAL BMI!
I'm really starting to notice the weight-loss in other contexts than just the scale, too. I got a compliment from my flatmate the other day, I bought size ten jeans instead of size twelve when I went shopping (eights fit my legs just fine but gave me a pretty unpleasant muffintop), and I actually feel better about myself when I look in the mirror. Having never had the willpower to lose so much as two pounds before in my life, the CONSTANT progress I've been making, reflected both in the scale and in my sense of well-being, really amazes me. I honestly don't think I'll have any problem sticking this out to the end.
Edit: Oh, I forgot to say that I want to set a new goal for Halloween, seeing as there's still nearly half of the month left. I'd like to be down to 166.5 by Halloween, which would leave me just 2.5 pounds until a healthy BMI!
