Week in Review

Monday, October 13, 2008

Once again I'm blogging about my week on Monday instead of Sunday, this time because I was sick last night. Well, I still am, but I'm feeling better. I'm also behind in my logging and my emails.

I am proud of my efforts for last week. I got a lot of cardio in, until the weekend hit, that. And I ate within my ranges. The Ring in 2009 Challenge is really helping me focus. BLC III starts this week, too. Go Pink!!!

This weekend was great for a number of reasons. For starters, my 12 year old stepson had his first Special Olympics competition. They do different sports every month, and this month was soccer. He's in the skills division, where they do drills and score you on times and accuracy as an individual. When he's older he will be able to do team competition. You've never seen a kid so excited. He did awesome! He won second place for the area for his division, and hasn't taken off his ribbon yet. I'm tearing up just thinking about how happy he is right now!

Another triumph this weekend was yesterday when 10 year old stepson's team won their football game. Huge sigh of relief! I was afraid they wouldn't win one all season (they're really bad, lol!)

I still have a fever, so I'm probably not working out today. I was really looking forward to a bike ride. I didn't get on my bike all weekend because I wasn't feeling well. It was perfect weather, too. I'm hoping I'll feel better by 4:30.
