Something for Everyone

Thursday, October 09, 2008

I love this site. Part of what I like is that there is something for everyone. For some weight loss and fitness is an all consuming and serious process. For others they don't want their weight loss and fitness to be so overwhelming that its all they think about. They want to be able to focus on family, work and other concerns and be able to lose weight and get fit in their own way and at their own pace. And there are others who fall everywhere between and even beyond the extremes. What is important is that you find what works for you and what you can stick with in the long haul.

For me, I've had to make my own plan and revise it over and over. To start with I realized I needed a plan that wasn't going to take over my life. I had to be able to pour energy into my job, my family and my other interests. What I needed was balance. Also, I needed a plan that was transferable to different situations I find myself in. That's what I believe we all need. Balance for me and balance for another person is going to be different.

U've hit it right on the nail. Balance is the key.

How very true. Balance is all important so one aspect of our life doesn't get all the attention while other aspects are neglected. Flexibility is also important. No two days are the same so we can't expect to succeed by following the same plan with strict rigidity every day. With your insight you are bound to succeed at whatever you set out to do.
