I've been my friend telling Jennifer about my Wii Fit experience and how it's got me started running. I never EVER thought I'd be running. Even when I was thin, I hated running. Just running ten feet left me winded and hurting.
Since I started using the WATP dvd's I've gradually built up my endurance to where I've been doing the routines that include some light jogging in them. When my mom picked up a Wii Fit last week and encouraged me to use the running game I was hesitant, to say the least. But I tried it and I liked it so much that I've been running every day since I got back home.
I just finished running a little over 4 miles in 30 minutes! I am running comfortably at about a 7-min mile pace, am able to talk and breathe normally during the whole thing, and don't feel achy or exhausted afterward. I credit this achievement to Leslie Sansone and her videos. When I first started the walking workouts 3 months ago I could barely make it through one 15-min mile. Now I'm RUNNING, and at quite a clip, too!!!!
