I did it...I did it...I really DID IT!!!!!

Yes, I made GOAL!!!!!!!!!!

Today is my one year anniversary at SP and I so wanted to make goal.

On this day last year, I was depressed and in tears. I pulled out my winter clothes and none of them fit. I stood in front of the mirror and looked myself in the face and said, "You have got to do something about this." So I thought I would start by joining this site and seeing what it was all about. And I was so impressed. I thought that I would start on eating healthy first. After losing the first 10 pounds, I decided I might lose another 10. After losing 30, I decided to start exercising on a regular basis.

I've lost 60 pounds during this year. And it was easy!

Now some might say 60 pounds in one year is not much; however, I did it by just eating sensibly and exercising moderately. I became best friends with the Motivation Articles, I learned that I could have a cheat day and jump right back on track. That was empowering in itself!

I'm a 54 year old woman that walks with a spring in her step. I even got on the trampoline with my family and laughed till it hurt last week!

Oh! And those clothes that were too little last year...they are too BIG. I'm having a grand time altering some of them and giving others away.

Thanks, SparkPeople for leading me to a healthy life. I have met many friends here that have helped with my journey.

Congratulations, you are a true inspiration. How did you fight the feeling of never being full? I'm always hungry, can never feel like I get enough to eat.

I am so excited for you!! You have fought the battle and won and you deserve to laugh until it hurts! I bet that's burning calories! lol

Speaking of laughing until it hurts - at church this past Sunday our pastor was doing a sermon on raising G rated kids in an X rated world. One of the things he pointed out to us was that we should have happy homes. His question was "have you ever laughed with your kids until it hurt?" Just wanted to share that with you and let you know it makes me feel good to see you having a good chuckle with your family.

You have inspired me today!
Be blessed!
